Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups (180g) graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.25 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Pulse whole graham crackers in a food processor until they resemble fine sand, or place crackers in a freezer bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and stir with a fork until the mixture looks like wet sand and there are no dry clumps.
  4. Dump the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan. Use the flat bottom of a measuring cup to press the crumbs firmly into the bottom and up the sides.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 minutes until the crust smells nutty and looks golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool completely before adding your filling.
