Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Cream the softened butter and sugar on medium-high speed using an electric mixer until the mixture is pale, nearly white, and looks like whipped cream. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Sift the flour, cornstarch, and salt directly into the butter mixture. Mix on low speed just until combined, taking care not to over-mix.
- Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips by hand.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) until the edges are barely golden and the centers are set.
