Ingredients:
- 12 large Medjool dates, pitted
- 4 oz triple cream Brie, chilled
- 1/4 cup crushed walnuts
- 1 tsp flaky sea salt
- 6 slices thin-cut bacon, halved (optional)
Instructions:
- Slice each Medjool date lengthwise to create a pocket, ensuring you do not cut all the way through. Remove the pit and expand the cavity.
- Slice the chilled brie into 1-inch rectangular batons and press firmly into the date cavity. Press a walnut piece into the cheese for structural crunch.
- Arrange the stuffed dates in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring no contact between pieces.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6 minutes until the date skin is caramelized to a mahogany color and the cheese is translucent.
- Remove carefully and immediately season with flaky sea salt. Allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving to let the molten center set.
